Basil, an Asian Leopard Cat (now sold) was kept by Michael Fairhurst near Bexhill on Sea, Sussex (telephone 01424-215059). Michael is an extremely experienced Bengal breeder who is presently breeding the "closer to wild" F2 and F3 kittens, selling them through IndyKatz. Unlike Baloo, Basil is quite timid - the normal wild temperament for an Asian Leopard Cat.     This is why Basil was photographed in his pen rather than disturb him - the photo quality is not terribly good, mainly due to the wire mesh and fast grainy film.
